I am back.....

It has been a while since I wrote here I know, but I have been working like a manic at my full time job and in my spare time I started a few projects that I will post here as soon as possible. I am so excited about them, but I want to finish them so I can show the completed projects with all the steps I took. I prefer doing it that way because previously I posted a few pictures of painting that I started and they are still a work in progress...sometimes I simply lose my inspiration and change to other project before return to the first one.
So...meanwhile I want to show one of my favorite sites: Desire to inspire it is so, so, so, wonderful, with brilliant images and ideas every day.

De volta aqui ai  estaminé agora tenho uma nova motivação para continuar com artes e decorações - mudamos de casa. Logo tenho uma  tela de quase 200 m 2 divididos por várias divisões para dar largas às minhas ideias. Posso dizer que já são muitas e que até já tenho listinha para o que quero fazer para não me esquecer.
Vou começar pela casa de banho de serviço, mais usada pelas visitas e mais visível na casa. E já sei exactamente o que quero fazer. Na parede lateral, quem entra, vou colocar 2 ou três fotos tiradas pelo maridinho em Oxford.

Back to business now that I have a new motivation to keep up with my arts, deco and crafts projects– we moved to our new house.  So now I have a new canvas of almost 200m2 divided into different parts of the house that I can use to apply all my ideas (ahahahahah..maquiavelic laugher). I have to say that I have plenty of them and also a list of things I want to do so I won’t forget.

I will start with one of the bathrooms, most used and visible by people invited to our house. I know exactly what I want to do. I will hang on the Wall some pictures taken by the husband on a trip to Oxford.

Depois atrás da porta, visível depois de fachada por dentro, vou colocar um poster. Já tinha pensado no conhecido "keep Calm and Carry on", mas agora descobri um site simplesmente GE- NI- AL. Aqui  podem editar o famoso poster e escrever o que bem entenderem, mudar cores e tamanhos e até o símbolo de topo.
Eu estou a pensar colocar este. Que tal?

Once behind the door, then visible on the inside front, I will put a poster. I had thought in the popular "Keep Calm and Carry On", but now I found a GE-NI-AL site. Here you can edit the famous poster and write whatever you want, change colors and sizes and even the top symbol.

I'm thinking of putting this. How about that? (IT says "...and wahs your hands)

Pinturas III / Paintings III

It has been a while since I post something, but my work has been keeping me very busy. This is my new painting; well it will be some day hopefully for our new house. I have been working on it sometimes..when I feel inspired. Decided to use two big 100 cm canvas and natural materials like tree leaves and sticks.

Já não escrevo nada há algum tempo. Tenho estado muito ocupada com trabalho. Este é o meu novo quadro, quer dizer será o meu novo quadro, espero que para a nossa nova casa. Tenho estado a trabalhar nele um pouco mas quando me sinto inspirada.  Decidi usar duas telas grandes de cerca um metro cada e materiais naturais como folhas de árvore e ramos.

Pinturas II / Paintings II

Este quadro foi pintado também ainda em Inglaterra. Eu queria criar algo que incorporasse parte de um poema que o meu marido me escreveu. Usei tinta acrílica e uma tela de 80X 50 e flores secas que fui colando de forma a criar uma espécie de moldura. Depois de escrever as palavras achei que ficaram com um aspecto de caligrafia infantil e não gostei muito cheguei a pensar repintar. Felizmente depois acabei por gostar porque lhe dá um ar artesanal, tal como as flores incorporadas. Está no nosso quarto numa parede por cima da cómoda.

This picture was also painted in England. I wanted to create something that would incorporate part of a poem my husband wrote to me. I used acrylic paint, a 80X 50 canvas and I glued dried flowers to create a kind of frame. After writing the words I found that the calligraphy looked childish and I didn´t like it so I considered to repaint it. Fortunately I ended up liking it because it turns out it makes it really “crafty” such as the incorporated flowers. It is in our room on a wall above the dresser.

Before and After /Antes e Depois II - 6th Street

Kirsten Krason is a Utah Interior Designer who loves blogging, interior design and being a mom. She recently posted in her blog 6^th Street a renewing work she has done to her TV stand. Beautiful I just loved it and it’s so much better. Even though I think the original stand was lovely too this change definitely modernized it completely.

Recentemente publicou no seu blog 6th Street um trabalho de remodelação que fez com a sua mesa de televisão. Lindo,! Adorei ficou muito melhor. Mesmo achando que o móvel original também era adorável esta mudança tornou-o sem dúvida muito mais moderno.

Porcelanosa is my favourite bathroom brand and I think there is not any other that beets the design, quality everything. I wish I could build my own bathroom from scratch just to choose all the materials for it. Keep dreaming…who knows maybe one day with Euromillions

Pinturas / Paintings

Um dos meus hobbies é pintar. Sou muito amadora e não tenho qualquer formação, simplesmente sigo a minha imaginação e coração. Gosto de misturar materiais que normalmente não é esperado que se use numa tela como fio, plantas, areia, cera e vários outros tipos. Este trabalho é um exemplo perfeito disso. Foi um dos meus primeiros quadros e usei areia e cera para criar os relevos no meio e lados da tela e também tinta acrílica. Neste momento está na minha sala com parede clara mas esta foto foi tirada na casa de Inglaterra, que tinha a terrível parede azul

One of my hobbies is painting. I am very amateur and don´t have any kind of training regarding this area so I simply follow my imagination and heart. I like to mix materials that usually are not expected to be used in a canvas such as string, plants, sand, wax and all sorts of stuff. This work is a perfect example. It was one of my first paintings and I used sand and wax to create the figures in the middle and sides of the canvas and also acrylic paint.  Currently it’s in my living room, which has a light wall but this picture was taken in my UK house that has this terrible blue wall.
